Holos Hyams White

Holos Hyams White is part of the Holos range, which takes the mosaic idea into large format porcelain. Instead of individual tesserae set by hand, the pattern is carried across a single 6mm slab, so the look of a mosaic arrives without the grout lines, the setting time or the cleaning that a real mosaic brings.

Where Holos Hyams White suits

White is the Holos to use where the pattern should read as texture rather than colour. It suits shower and bathroom walls, spa and pool interiors, hallways and stairwells, and reception and hospitality walls. Because it is a single slab, it can be used in wet areas without the grout joints that are the usual failure point of a traditional mosaic. Holos panels can be bookmatched, so two panels mirror each other across a join. On a wide wall that turns the join into the centre line of a symmetrical composition, which is the usual reason the range is chosen over a plain slab. The arrangement is decided before cutting, so it is worth confirming the layout with your fabricator early.

Formats and finishes

This is supplied in 6mm only, in the Mosaic finish (rectified). It is a decorative panel rather than a worktop material, so where a horizontal surface is needed it should be paired with a 12mm slab.

Slabs are 3200 x 1600mm, supplied rectified, which is also the usable working area. As porcelain, the surface is stain, scratch and heat resistant, non-porous and needs no sealing. A single panel can usually cover a full height wall in one piece.
