Metal Dark Black ME02

Metal Dark Black ME02 takes after blackened and oxidised sheet metal, with the uneven darkening, faint mottling and low sheen of a worked metal surface rather than a flat black.

Where Metal Dark Black suits

Metal effects are an architectural rather than a domestic material, and this is the one specified where an interior wants industrial weight: bar and reception fronts, lift and stair cladding, restaurant and retail interiors, media walls and fireplace surrounds. In a home it is usually one surface rather than the scheme, most often an island face or a feature wall, set against pale timber or warm plaster to stop it reading as heavy.

Formats and finishes

This slab is stocked in 6mm in matt (rectified) and 12mm in matt (non-rectified).

Slabs are 3240 x 1620mm in 12mm and 3200 x 1600mm in 6mm. The 12mm is supplied unrectified, so the usable working area in both is 3200 x 1600mm. As porcelain, the surface is stain, scratch and heat resistant, non-porous and needs no sealing. The 6mm is the cladding format and the one most used on vertical surfaces. The 12mm covers worktops and horizontal work.
