Sahara Noir Black MB10

Sahara Noir Black MB10 takes after the Tunisian marble of the same name. The ground is a deep brown-black and the veining is amber and gold rather than white, which gives it a warmth that Nero Marquina does not have.

Where Sahara Noir Black suits

It suits schemes built around brass, bronze and warm timber, and it is often used for bar tops, fireplace surrounds and feature walls rather than for long kitchen runs. The gold veining reads best under warm light. Under cool white light it flattens and the slab can look simply dark.

Slabs in this range can be bookmatched, so two halves mirror each other across a join. On a large run or a feature wall that turns a practical join into the point of the design. Vein position is decided at the slab, which is why it is worth seeing the material rather than a sample.

Formats and finishes

This slab is stocked in 6mm in polished (rectified) and 12mm in satin, polished (non-rectified). Please note: the 6mm format and the polished finish in 12mm are discontinued and held in limited availability only, so check current stock before specifying.

Slabs are 3240 x 1620mm in 12mm and 3200 x 1600mm in 6mm. The 12mm is supplied unrectified, so the usable working area in both is 3200 x 1600mm. As porcelain, the surface is stain, scratch and heat resistant, non-porous and needs no sealing. Check availability early on this one.
