Crystal Ice White OC01

Crystal Ice White OC01 takes after white onyx, the banded calcite stone prized for the way light moves through it. The slab carries a crystalline, icy white surface with fine translucent looking banding.

Where Crystal Ice White suits

Onyx effects are specified where a surface is meant to feel precious rather than practical: bar and reception fronts, bathroom vanities, feature walls, shower enclosures and furniture. One thing is worth knowing before specifying it. Real onyx is often backlit, and porcelain is not translucent, so a slab cannot be lit from behind. The look has to be carried by the surface and by front lighting, which on this slab it does well because the banding is crisp.

Formats and finishes

This slab is stocked in 6mm in polished (rectified) and 12mm in polished or lev, a softer honed finish (non-rectified).

Slabs are 3240 x 1620mm in 12mm and 3200 x 1600mm in 6mm. The 12mm is supplied unrectified, so the usable working area in both is 3200 x 1600mm. As porcelain, the surface is stain, scratch and heat resistant, non-porous and needs no sealing. The 12mm is the format for vanities and tops, the 6mm for wall and furniture cladding.
