Arkeon Fossil GB01 White

Arkeon Fossil GB01 White takes after fossil bearing limestone, the pale stone where shell and organic fragments are visible in the cut face. The porcelain carries that scattered detail across a white ground, so the interest is in the surface rather than in veining.

Where Arkeon Fossil suits

Fossil stone is specified where a surface needs to reward a close look: reception and hotel desks, bathroom walls, feature walls, stair cladding and vanity tops. At a distance it reads as a plain pale stone, and up close the detail appears. That makes it unusually easy to use over a large area, because it does not shout from across a room.

Formats and finishes

This slab is stocked in 6mm and 12mm, both in a matt finish.

Slabs are 3240 x 1620mm in 12mm and 3200 x 1600mm in 6mm. The 12mm is supplied unrectified, so the usable working area in both is 3200 x 1600mm. Being porcelain, it is stain, scratch and heat resistant and needs no sealing, which is the practical reason it gets specified in place of the natural material. The 6mm is the wall cladding format, the 12mm covers vanities and horizontal surfaces.

On a textured surface a sample tells you less than the slab does, because the movement only reads at full size.
